JASON DI TULLIO

Jason, born on January 6, 1984, is a former professional soccer player and coach. Born in Montreal, he commenced his professional career with the Montreal Impact in 2002, where he swiftly established himself as a prominent figure in the soccer scene. Following his retirement from active play, Jason seamlessly transitioned into coaching, leveraging his extensive experience and expertise to nurture the next generation of talent. His enduring commitment to soccer is evident in his continued involvement in coaching endeavors, where he imparted invaluable knowledge and skills to aspiring players. Whether on the field or in the coaching arena, Jason was and still remains a respected figure within the soccer community.

Following his retirement, Jason co-founded the Football School "École de Soccer DiTullio-Ribeiro" alongside Antonio Ribeiro in an endeavor to foster soccer development.

In August 2015, he was appointed assistant coach of the Montreal Impact first team under the stewardship of head coach Mauro Biello.

In 2018, he was designated assistant coach for Canada U20, and following a restructuring, he served as the assistant coach for Canada U-23, led by Mauro Biello.

In 2019, he announced his return to the Montreal Impact Academy, assuming the position of head coach for the U-17s ahead of the 2019 U.S. Soccer Development Academy season.

On September 4, 2020, the Montreal Impact unveiled the establishment of a new U23 team, with Di Tullio assuming the role of head coach for the club's newly formed reserve team. In March 2021, he resumed his role within the first team, now referred to as CF Montreal, as an assistant coach.

In June 2021, Jason was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer with a low survival rate and no known cure. He underwent numerous surgeries, radiation, and chemotherapy treatment, all while remaining positive and determined.

Jason fought extremely hard, his battle serving as an inspiration to everyone around him. He sadly lost his battle on July 29, 2022 at the age of 38 years old.
